ram, you have some talent. Are you the airbrush artist and the painter also?
OMR, that is a fine paint scheme you came up with for the ol' Z. I've always like that one.

I might have to get me one of those, I have an air compressor but it wouldn't keep up, It does I think 4.5CFM. but it only takes about 4 minutes to fill up so I probably won't even notice it since it runs at 200 PSI and kicks on at 150 PSI.
I should go buy it and practice.

That's what I paint with. Not a bad gun at all. I haven't done any clears with it yet.

kzz1king wrote: What are the advantages of the prevale unit over a sprayer for a novice? I would like to try a little painting myself. Have a compressor and could maybe beg,buy or borow a sprayer. I suppose i NEED SOME TYPE OF INLINE FILTERS AND SUCH.
wAYNE. Sorry for yelling :side:
I have a compressor but used the Preval since I had no experience about using a sprayer. I followed OMAR's write ups on the topic. Also figured I wouldn't have to worry about filters. But my biggest worry being in a high humidity state like Florida was the moisture you get by from using a compressor. When I researched it seemed like it was going to be very expensive to buy a decent dryer. Didn't have to worry about that with the Preval system.

moisture is always a ptoblem even here in ky. i buy the gun filters at harbor freight and pivco they are cheap.
if your only gonna paint one bike i would go Omars route for sure
the cleaner thinner and everything you dont count on ends up making it cost prohibitive to
just one job I just bought a gallon of thinner for the paint I used on Les' bike and it was 80.00
