OK Josh, maybe this will help. Take a look in the KZRider Gallery. There you can click on KZ550 pictures to see 336 photos. Some of them have solo seats that might help give you some ideas. Ed

There's some pics in my built thread (in signature) but basically I made a bracket that bolts to the battery box attachment points for the front of the seat to hook into. I then added a rear hoop that matched the curve of the underside of the seat and installed a lock cylinder. The HD seats bolts on originally, so I fabbed a bracket that bolted to the bosses under the seat, which the lock engages. It would have been much simpler to bolt down but I store stuff under there and wanted it to be quickly removable.
