sanctuary fender eliminator/tag/tailight bracket

was wondering around the sanctuary blogs and wondered onto these pics of this fender eliminator/tag/tailight bracket and thought i would share.

it seems the topic comes up fairly frequently so i thought a couple pics might help some guys.

Thank you for the pics! That will definitely help with figuring out what to do with the tail end of my project...

That used to look heavy to me, now that I have wrapped my plate up in the tire a couple times I'm beginning to believe that it's not. I'm ordering a new plate, yeah, that bad.

Funny you say that Les. I built my first bracket out of 1/8" plate and just spot welded it together. Well it came apart going home one day. Needless to say I braced and welded the bejesus out of the second one. I think the vibes out there on the end of that tail must get pretty bad.

where do you get those brakets??? :woohoo:

x2 on the wrapping my plate up have beat it flat with a hammer 3 times now
my first welded togetther bracket snapped and broke my tail light

the last makeshift brackt is working so far (1000 miles)

but if any of you welding gurus wanna make a similar bracket I'd be a player on one

should have a plate relocation/bracket thread to have a bunch of ideas for people.
