82 KZ1000 rear fender help

Hi all,

I need to get a rear fender for my 82 KZ1000 LTD. Trouble is, I'm not sure what models shared the same guard, or if they're specific to the 1000 LTD. I've looked at pictures of others but can't be certain.

Are the earlier chrome fenders different from the early 80's ones ? I believe the part number is 35022-1059, but if anyone could confirm, that'd help.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks very much. I actually tried my own searching but wasn't sure I was looking at the right stuff.

I've seen a NOS fender on Ebay, but it's for a 79......mine must be specific to the early 80's models. Must admit I'm surprised not to be able to find too many on the net - not good ones at least.

The duck tail continued through 1980 KZ1000 LTD.

Am thinking the rear fender was changed when the duck tail was eliminated on the 1981 KZ1000 LTD .

Thanks a lot for those links mate - I'll look them up now. I am deadset stunned how hard it is finding a decent replacement. But I'll keep looking.
