....Chin Scoop.

Just fitted the scoop today at work. Nice to be paid to work on your bike. I had to take a Dremmel tool to the plastic scoop to clear the exhaust. I ran out of time to fab up brackets, so I just Zip tied it on. It will be painted sometime over the Winter or in the Spring when the temps come up a bit. To save costs, I'm thinking of painting it Black, as well as the Rickman Fairing I bought, to match the Saddle Bags. I got a quote to paint the fairng and bags to match the Blue, but I can't afford the $600 plus.

I agree that there's some amount of confusion, but nobody said he has to have all of the accessories mounted at the same time! Bags and fairing for longer trips, scoop for canyon carving.

Heck, if everything were all the same color, it might not look half bad, if still a little busy.

Rob, you might consider sending John68 a U2U and asking him for a quote for the bags and fairing. I'd be surprised if he couldn't beat $600 including delivery.

He said 250 for tank, side covers and tailpiece the other day. That's one of the lowest I've see...must be because of his passion for the sport. He knows all about that matching stuff, too. Worth a shot. He said something about ppg custom mixed rattlecans he other day, too. Might want to U2U him about that!

I may post alot, but I lurk even more. :silly:

Here's the Fairing. It matches the chin scoop! Actually, I think I'll paint them both black first, to match the bags. Cheapest way, and I can always redo it all later.

Have you considered an eggshell colored bike? Easy to paint light colors!
