I'm in the process of finishing the tank I will add those pics later, here are the side covers. Still adding 2 more coats of clear.

The picture really doesnt show the cool contrast of the the red black and silver. I used a medium grain silver flake I thik anything bigger would look bass boat-ish. :silly: The silver goes on the tank tomorrow. Should be good.

I cant wait, either! My problem is getting the carbs working right. I'll get it done as quick as my pockets allow. I'm going to attempt to get the carbs going on my own by reading the posts here. At least I was able to cut the paint restoration cost by doing it myself. If I have to hire someone to tune the carbs then so be it. Its going to be a nice bike.

awesome 1984 colors.. i had a grand prix that color
1982 kz 1000 ltd ..someone started to make a bobber out of it and realized it didnt' run and they didn't know how to run their wrenches

Wow you did a beautiful job there. I have repainted my tank several times and I just can't get it to come out right. Granted, I don't have a booth or a good spray gun. Perhaps its my lack of patience.

paint looks good :woohoo: .on the carbs dont let them intimidate you reed reed reed take your time.someone will help you hear if you need it.do you have a book?
