Quarter or Half Fairings?
22 Apr 2012 12:18
I'm considering a quarter or half fairing for my 77 KZ1000. I now of plenty of places to buy them but without seeing them on the bike it's hard to tell which one I want.
Can you please post pics or links to pics of KZ's with Fairings?

Here is a link to my build thread with picture of the bike with a failing I just installed Friday. I love it. Especially on the freeway at any speed above 60.

Same as the fairng I had on my 74 in my avatar. Loved back then as well. Shoe FM-2.

Also a fan of fairings when riding at higher speeds.
When I lived in the city, I didn't find one as necessary, but now that 90% of my riding is country/highway, riding at 80+ kph most of the time, I need a fairing.
I even started one season without a few years back, but my neck got too sore fighting the wind.
This is one I bought at a salvage yard:
A this I couldn't pass up when I found it on Craigslist.
Air tech has copies of these. www.airtech-streamlining.com/vintage/Rickmancr.htm

Here's the fairing I bought back in 1977, you can't get one anymore but you can find one that;s close.
