650/900 tailpiace on 750 frame?
20 Mar 2012 18:10
I really like the way I'm getting things together with my bike the last couple of weeks, but I developed a huge dislike in the '81 750's ugly square tail piece.
Would like to know whether a more streamline tail piece from a 650, 900 or even 1000 would work directly on the frame, or do I have to make some alterations in order for this to work.
On the long run I would also like to change the swingarm to a mono shock conversion and the square tail piece will just not fit the look.....
Any advice out there?

Others have installed other tailpieces from different models, but all need some modifications to fit.
One thing to watch for is the shape of your seat where it meets the tailpiece, as the seat is also shaped to fit the tail.
I like the squared tails from the 550s, 750s, Z1Rs and 1100s.
