rear turn signal pics wanted - 81' KZ1100
30 May 2006 14:14
Hey all,
My 81' KZ1100 came with the full touring package (full faring, saddlebags, trunk, etc.).
However, the guy I bought it off of had all the touring parts off the bike.
I'd like to see where & how I am supposed to relocate the rear turn signals so I can attach the saddlebags.
I saw some pics in the members gallery, but they weren't too detailed.
Hoping someone can send me detail pics of the rear signals.
Thanks,
Dale

way back when I had a KZ1100, if I am remembering correctly, I drilled the sides of the tail light bracket and mounted mine there.

On my KZ1100 the turn signals mount on the bag brackets, putting them up flush against the bags, in the recess in the middle of the rear face.
With the bags removed, (which I do often), the lights are relocated to a hole in the frame below the passenger seat area.
I will try to take a picture tonight.

Picture (from Kawasaki brochure) identical to my bike, showing turn signals without the bags.
I will post bag pictures later.

Sorry that it took so long.
My girl friend was riding around with my camera in her car. ("I don't know where it is!")
Anyway, here are pictures of the lights on the bags and a picture of the stock mounting location.
My lights are not original, but they are in the original location.
