Compatability
12 Feb 2012 12:56
Hi all. I'm a newbie here and just picked up my first ever bike, a 1984 KZ700. I'm wicked excited about this project. And this forum has already taught me a lot about it.
I've spent several hours looking for something on my question and have not been sucessful///so here's my questions
Is there a listing of compatible body parts (specifically a fairing) that I can use to enhance my bike? Also a listing for suspension parts and wheels since I am looking to widen the rear a tad. I'm sorry if this is already posted somewhere, but I could not find it.

That bike,I think is one year specific and other year parts are not going to fit.
You should be able to find fairings by either google or eBay. Bullet fairings can be made to fit .
The wider rear shouldn't be much trouble. You need to find the with of your swingarm front and then find what will fit. Roy

Cool little tariff bike!
One year wonder, in the states only, I believe.
If I'm not mistaken, this is the same bike as the Z750 and non USA kz750 just with a slightly smaller displacement to beat the import tariff.
Knowing that, you should be able to search for anything you need body or suspension-wise on the Googles.
Here's a discussion on using a cross reference list.
Welcome to the obsession!

The bike is a mix of the standard 750 and the 1982 GPz 750, only with 699 cc. So most bits that will fit the standard 750 will fit your bike.
