1980 Z1 Classic seat too huge!

Does anyone know if a regular LTD, or even a reg seat fit on a G1? :huh:

The stock seat was made bigger to accommodate the fuel inj.system to hide under it. Well, I just bought a bike that was converted to carbs, and I hate the look of the stock seat and no tail piece.

The back of the frame is different then a normal KZ with a tail. I guess with some cutting and welding you could get the tail on? The seat is more like the 81 82 LTD seats, it’s not cut out for the tail in back. I am not really sure if it’s bigger then those seats but it would be interesting to find out and I think those are the ones that may fit
