viper cafe fairing was created by TheFlyingFreemole
so I was going to buy this
which says it will mount to the 77 kz1000 ltd
while talking to a friend he mentioned he had one just sitting around and gave it to me...
the only thing is that it doesn't have any mounting stuff.
Somebody out there has to know how this bad boy mounts up, or where i could find a mount.

Here should be two little brackets that fit on each side of the headlight. There is one one eBay with a picture of the brackets. Just search kz1000 fairing.

You can easily make those mounts with some aluminum or sheet metal bar stock. Plus some nuts and bolts from the hardware store - might cost you $10 and an hour of your time.

Did you figure out how to mount your viper fairing? I got one too and am trying to figure out how to mount it too. Did you have turn signals on the sides of your headlight? Do I have to find a way to move them?

I haven't finished up the mount yet. I've put the project on the back burner while I work on other areas of the bike.
Here's a shot of my headlight/signals. My signals are attached to my bars, I didn't have to move them as the just barely stick out past the fairing.
However I had to use a dremel to shave down the fairing to fit the bike more tightly.

I purchased one of these Viper fairing today. I bought it from: Shade Tree Power Sports. They offer a hardware replacement kit:
Viper Fairing Replacement Hardware
Part No: 70-70
Price: $7.99
Status: In Stock
You might want to check with them to be certain it is what you are looking for. Good Luck!!!
