Shallow Crease Repair
30 Dec 2011 11:40
I have a couple of VERY shallow creases on the side of my tank. They are probably about 1/16 inch deep. You have to be in the right light to see them. Should I glaze or try to "bang" them out? They are about an inch to an inch and a half long.

Just use the modern style. Polyester, urethane. I use a product called "Ice" From the Trans Star Line.
It is smooth as silk, won't shrink or leave any pit holes. Wet sands great.
If you don't have any product. just go by your local collision shop or small business. Buy the guy a coffee, I am sure he would help you out. Mix up a golf ball size batch, skim it. Your on your way.
There are still some nice guys out there nowadays.
Then he will quote you a price of $750 to paint it for you

I'll get some of that. I also have some rust on the top side of the tank, that will need to be filled after sanding down.
