I have an 80 KZ1000 LTD and Id like to covert it to the KZ1000 MkII type tank, seat, side covers & tail section. What I need to know if will this work without major problems. Ive never even seen a MKII bike in person. Any help or advise would be great.

Anything is posible with a welder and some fab skills. The rear of the frame where the fender mounts is different. More like a shaft drive or Z1R. The MKII tail, fender and tail light wont mount without some fab work but then your going to be doing that with the triangle side covers too.
You might end up sawing the rear end of your frame off, your best bet would be to have a shaft drive frame or something you could take off what you need.
The seat latch is different also so I dont know how it would line up with a stock LTD frame if you do have the MKII seat.
Do you have all the MKII stuff already?
