im looking at a custom rear fender but the rear bar frame (fender mount) is in the way do you think it would be ok to cut the frame inch or two past the shocks and reweld tubing closer the the seat

If it was me, I would make a solid clamp type brace to go across in front of where you are going to cut it to hold the frame in place, just as a precautionary measure.
78 650-C2, Stock engine, Jardine 4-2 Exh., 17-38 sprockets, dyna ignition and coils, coil wiring mod, carb mod.

oh definitely ill just weld a brace first then Fabe it up and then cut the brace off i think it will work i just want to hear your takes on the idea
