Seat Conversion was created by KZ1000LTDPENNSYLVANIA
I would like to buy a flat Z1 seat for my KZ1000 LTD. Does anyone know what converts and what does not? Mine is the stepped, king queen type (I think you call it) the stock which, of course, I'll keep, but I'm a bit tall and it bunches me up too close to the tank.
Can you get seats new anymore for 1979's or aftermarket seats? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

AmericanClassix.com sells a cover and foam that you could use to replace your current cover and foam with. Same pan so no swap.

www.americanclassix.com

I did this on my seat which had been switched with or converted to an LTD style seat.

If I had to do it again, I would get some nice butt foam to glue on top of their foam, though. It is taking a really long time to break in....

Here's my KZ with a seat I just received from Z1parts.net

Looks great and it came with new hardware to boot!

I had a Corbin Gunfighter on it and it just didn't look right with the stock tailpiece. The flat seat just looks better IMHO.

+1! Especially if your bike is built. The step in mine has saved my ass a couple times.
