440 tank on a kz750 twin?

I like the smaller look of the 440 tank, anybody know if it will fit on a 750? Do they both have wide areas under the tank to clear the triple br frame? Anyone ever done this? I don't expect a exact bolt on, just wondering if it will work. Any issues come to mind with this conversion??

I would see if you can find a KZ440 owner local to you (maybe a kzr member) to let you try their tank out. If not, I would see if someone here with a 440 could send you some dimensions. I am guessing the important dimensions would be for the front mount points, the height and from the bottom the tank and the distance from the front. Also the distance between each front mount point across from each other and the tunnel in general along the length of the tank. Then the rear mounting measurements of course. Even if it fits or you make it fit, you would still need to make sure the tank will not interfere with the steering or can bump into it at its max turn. I was given an extra tank with my bike. Turned out to be for another model. Wouldn't even go over the triple frame. And the front mount points where way higher on the extra tank. Good luck.

I was able to locate a motorcycle junkyard that had the same 750 twin as mine. The tank was unattached. A few rows over was a 450, I laid the 450 tank on the 750 frame. nope. nada, It's not going to work without some extensive frame mods. Thank you for all the replies!
