Need a Theme for an 81 GPZ1100 was created by supercharged

I am starting an 81 GPZ 1100 project. I am not very good at seeing my project from the beginning. I know what I want to accomplish from a mechanical and components stand point, but I am missing the theme - coloring.

Anyone want to share there favorite thoughts on how to style a GPZ. Wanted to stay away from stock red or green. I was leaning towards making the midnight black lawson look. Open to a red that is not so stock looking.

One of the themes I have always found visually appealing is that of the Z1000H model...produced in 1980 and never sold in North America...basic black with gold and silver accent stripes reminiscent of the later GPz scheme...you may have to google it as I'm not sure there are any photos posted on this site (I might be wrong, though).

I'm very partial to White bikes, this is why we've redone my GPZ 550 in white with blacked out engine/frame etc...

this is a great looking example of a nice white GPZ:

I'm not super crazy about vintage coloring for bikes,specially not burgundy but a nice deep dark green is always nice and a nice copper brownish color wouldn't be bad.
What about a more modern twist with a candy color?

any of the stock zrx paint jobs can be adapted easily and give a custom yet factory look.

Thanks.

I saw the black one on google images, but did not like the gold rims. The more I see that version of the black... the less I less it.

The white is real nice

but... I think I might go with a modern green similar to the last one. It will have the traditional ora, yet modern.

OH... check out the exhaust on the green one. Not a turbo, but real short pipes. Wonder it gets enough back pressure?

Man that is a wild looking ZRX! I've owned two of them and sold 'em because they're too fast.

I did mine in a stock looking paint scheme just changed the red to a bright kinda orangy red.pics in projects section

a silver with smaller stripes...never seen mono shock silver paint cloned onto an 81...

what happened to the clone concept

It's a turbo, the turbo is mounted in front of the engine.

It's a blowthrough setup.
