I'm back up at the job for the rest of the week. I'll try to get pics of the carnage and cleanup this next weekend.

Salesman said "No problem... Just replace anything it touches." OUCH! I already knew to keep good insurance because a windy day with this stuff can purchase you a few paint jobs.:(

Some time in the 80's in my infinite wisdom I decided to do something about the noise coming from my head light at high speeds.
It worked.
Now that I'm starting fresh again and have no urge to go that fast, I plan on taking off as much as I can and soaking this in some gasoline to see what happens.

I'll let you know.

hey jj , just a thought , i havnt tried it ,but , mabye some PB blaster ? i know it will melt a foam cup with no problem . probably a totally different foam , but its worth a try . i have used acetone , wd40 and laquer thinner to get it off my fingers , with great success . you'd probably need to use these on the different surfaces accordingly . like laquer thinner on chrome and non painted metals . mabye the pb blaster on rubber , then wash it off . i would try the wd40 on painted stuff with a rag to loosen it . you may end up having to wet sand a bit with some 2000 grit and re polish the area . don't forget to wax it . good luck.

It's probably the last nice day of the year around here so I decided to give it a try.
I took the old gas from my fishing boat and gave it a bath.
Not what I expected, I thought it would melt but instead it worked like a releasing agent.
It came off really well, in chunks.
I don't know what it will do if it's on paint and this stuff was real old.
I hope you had Good luck getting it off Woodman.
