Opinion/advice needed for what to do 82 550 LTD

So, I pained my engine flat black. My tank is semigloss black. Same as the side panels. The emblems looked like complete hell and I saw a HD the other day that had black emblems on black tank and thought it looked pretty slick. Well, I tried it, and I'm not sure if I like the results. The wife says to take some silver to the outline of the Kawasaki or color the words right in with it.

What do you guys think? The emblem was originally gold and all boogered up. The PO must have used a screwdriver too big or took them off after a 18 pack of miller high life.

PS- The tank is kinda dirty and I'll touch the mounting screws up yet... just need opinion on the badges, both tank and side panel.

I would paint the letters silver and leave the background black.

I take it from the lack of responses that I'm headed in the complete wrong direction already? haha.

if you are going for an almost "debadged" look, leave it as is but if it was mine, I def. do some color on it, silver sounds good.

do a dark color on the letters that isnt black, like gunmetal grey or midnight blue, something that will make it stand out a bit but not enough that you can see it from a mile away, i can promise you you will like it
