ok so I'm sick of looking at the ugly bulky stock rear end of my bike. in the process of having the foam replaced (about 3 inches of foam removed) from the seat and really want to swap the stock chrome fender to a stock 78/79 kz rear fender with a new smaller brake light and license plate mounted under the new fender. I wanna get rid of the grab bar. long story short I want to really slim down the back end of my bike making look a little more sporty. I see that z1 enterprises has an under fender brake light and license plate bracket, but its $92, I really want to avoid paying that $92. first I know a bunch of you guys have done this, I'd appreciate it if someone who has can give me a few tips, especially tips on how to avoid blowing money that I could put towards a header. thanks guys looking forward to the replies.
