Look up Caswell and www.e-clec-tech.com Like you I have been thinking the same thing for a while. There is a few forums for it also. If you do it soon, let us know the results.

Saw a sight the other day, don't have the link, but the guy was talking about making his with a battery charger and some sulfuric acid, didnt sound to expensive.

We've a couple of customers using the Caswell setup. I saw a few parts done using the Caswell kit and they looked good.

year www.warpig.com will have info. All paintball guns are finished with ano, I played with it once upon a time, but it was far cheaper (and you got better results) to just send it out to the flavor of the month ano company.

The common coloring agent back then for the DIY guys was RIT dye, all you really need is the dye, a power source and some chemicals. If you have a failed attempt mix up some common crystalized drain cleaner and water... a dip in that will strip ano off in a few seconds.
