Automotive grade primer sealer is sufficient. You shouldn't need anything else. Good luck :)

Scuff it and use Adhesion Promoter on plastics...

Bull Dog is available at Wally World (Walmart)... I've also used the Dupli-color brand at any auto parts store with decent results...

This is coming from a auto painter lol. If the plastics are in good condition with no deep scratches or chunks taking out then yes use a light coat of bulldog and use some wet on wet sealer then base and clear it. If the parts are in horrible shape then make sure u repair the scratches or whatever defects there are in the plastic. Dont sand the plastic with anything heavyer then 180 grit. You should only need putty glaze to repair. Finish off with 220. Then use about 3 coats of filler primer. Wait to dry before sanding. Wet sand the primer with 500 or 600, make sure to use a guide coat to get that smooth finish. Before painting make sure to use a wax and greese remover or you will get solvent pop and it will look horrible. Well I hope that will help you out to get that show winning bike.

Thanks for the Walmart tip!
Never seen this stuff.
It's got to be cheaper than Dupont!
I never had any problem with 2K epoxy primer.
Hell, I used to use Laquer primer, that worked fine too!
It's all in the prep!
