Another KZ1000 Value Question??

#429536
Hi again, Here is another 1977 KZ1000 in Ohio, don't know if Steve is a member, he did not say so.
This bike is 1075, 34mm flatslides, nice chromemoly swingarm. He says 1500 miles on rebuild. 200 pounds compression in each cly. Complete and runs!!
He has this bike and a whole other 76KZ900 in parts.
And all kinds of decent and half rusted stuff. About a pickup truck and a half.
Brandnew V/H sidewinder, air shifter, 4 heads, 3 cranks, 2 sets stock carbs, 2 trannys, 2 sets Andrews cams 3 frontends
2 Frames with matching titles, bins of parts?

Should I travel from Buffalo, 3 1/2 hours to buy all for
$4,000 asking price????????

If your here Steve, I still need other opinions.
This is Steve's Picture of his bike that he sent me.
Anyone know Steve??

depends what you want ...for me it would be a deal ..the engine if correct and the carbs are worth fouyr grand in todays $ easy to try and copy would be at least that...

what is 4000 to you...to me it is half way to a dream bike...

to others it is a drop in the bucket...

are these your dream bikes?

do the parts have slots on your projects..cause all those parts would help a few of mine along and the others if a guy was willing to put forth effort could e-bay out to a big leveling field...

the drive----the money---the storing it all
probably one of those scores that should be done if you can swing it...4000 and a day or two of trouble will get you some decent project platforms...the runner is not my style...but i got everything needed to make it "MY STYLE!!!" laying around...

worth it..yeah..it is worth it on paper and some...

These types of road trips are exciting if the weather holds out. Bring a big enough truck to haul it in one trip. I drove 12 hours (each way) to pick up my mint ZZR1200. Loved every minute of it.

Especially since you do eBay, that's basically a free bike and money in your pocket.

And it's a lot cheaper than drinking and chasing women!
