76-77 KZ900 Tank / Side Covers / Tail on a 75 Z1B?
03 Feb 2011 12:35
See alot of compatibility threads specific to certain years and certain parts but didnt see 76-77 KZ900 parts compatibility to 75 Z1B...
I have a 75, and wanted to know if there are usage issues with parts from a 76-77...
I'm new to this site, so if its obvious somewhere on the forum, well, be gentle...

Likely find the KZ900 tail piece is longer and with a flatter contour over Z1's round tail light.
Good Fortune!

They kinda fit.
The tank is the easy part. That's a straight swap.
The tail will bolt on, but you also need to change the complete tail light assembly over - the KZ tail lights are much squarer. The tail trays are different as well.
