Paint prep question was created by moneypit
I need to smooth my tank out from years of dings and the paint is shot. Im wondering filler over bare metal or over epoxy primer. Which way is better? I was told its better over the primer, but that would have to wait until its about 50+ degrees out (only 15 now )and I what to get it done cause Im impatient.
Thanks in advance.

I would wait for warmer weather for doing filler or primer if you are not able to heat your work area. Body filler likes to stick to roughed up metal for doing big dings, poly putty likes to stick to epoxy primer for doing small dings....it was designed to repair hail damage without the added grinding to bare metal step.
