are side covers interchangeable. I like the later model covers for my z1. Just like to know if they will fit before I buy them

The short answer is no. Positions for the pegs are different. In order to use later style side covers, you'd have to relocate the frame grommet holes.

I'd check with Z1 and redline cycle to see what wil fit.
