OK....some of you may remember the 'orange-peely" look I had with my clearcoat on the tailpiece and my fairing. Sanded and polished.....couldnt get the peel out or the shine up. Until today........:)
This stuff is THE BEST

This shot, tho kinda tuff to see, (sorry) shows some 1000 grit sanding marks and what the paint/clear looked like before using the Wizards. This is where the windscreen bolts on and wont show anyways. Below this line is after 1500 grit sanding and polishing...along with a couple dog hairs I didnt see:whistle:

And how the fairing looks now. This was all by hand, using a soft wax applicator (clean, never used) and polishing cloths. The compound and polish go on dry, cut and shine really well, and wipe away rather easily. I got these at my 3M supplier and recommend them highly.

IF you really want to get that "Stick your hand into it" shine that will last really well, you could use some McGuiars clear coat finishing wax. the paste is the best stuff out there. and you an get it for $9.00 at Wally World.

750man,
There's this stuff you can buy to repair scratches in plastic, it fills them in and then polishes up to where you can't tell anything was even there. it's big in the dirt-bike world of plastic everything, and it works on windscreens.

A buddy of mine used it on his cruiser's windshield that had been dragged on the pavement when he dropped it. I thought he had bought a new one!
