Paint Change - Europe Blue To US Green was created by jackflack
I live in the US and have a Canadian model KZ1100R with the blue paint. Anyone think it is worth the effort and investment to change to Kwak Green. It is definitely not as recognizable in its current color scheme but does look very good.

If it makes you happy and its something you want, it is worth the investment.

But don't expect to get money back when selling for something that makes you happy. :)

Well Jack...are you a purist or conformist? Most folks that I am aware of that own the KZ1100R model (even those in Canada) have repainted their bikes in Euro green. There are actually few KZ1100R around in the OEM light blue. I'd be tempted to keep the bike as stock as possible...although when the 1100R's are done up in green...they are very very nice :)

P.S. Sell me your bike.

Get used body parts and repaint. Keep the stock stuff in a safe place. Ten years or so it will be well worth it.

I wouldn't paint that bodywork - too rare. A buddy did his 84 1100R and then found what the bike with oem parts was worth vs. the repaint.Like others posted, keep it and repaint another set.

+1

Get spare bodywork. Plus, it seems to be a nightmare finding correct Kawasaki paint nowadays.
