Z1000 MkII Seat strap

I need a new seat strap for the MkII. I recently installed a nice new seat cover and the old seat strap is just too worn and ugly to be put back on. Anyone know of a source for these? Here in Norway I can get the straps for the older Zs, but these are a shorter than the ones for the MkII. I don't have the exact measurement in my head, but it should be about 50cm iirc.

Hello Stein...I recently purchased a seat strap for my Z2A from www.win-pmc.com (shipped through www.z1Enterprises.com ). Since Jeff is the North American distributor for PMC, you might check with him to see if your strap can be sourced through Z1E.

Jeff was only able to get the shorter Z1/Z900 ones.

It should measure 460 mm between bolt holes. At least mine does. Z-power in the UK might be the solution. The ones they have are 440mm. I'll probably end up buying from them.

Since you have an old one for a pattern, most any upholstery shop should be able to knock one out in no time.

Yes, if it was just the strap itself, an upholstery shop would definately be the way to go. But the buckles are pretty scratched up and rusty as well.

are they not the same as the KZ1000-ST seat straps..if so they may be close to the 79-80 Z1-R and 80-82 KZ750 straps...i bet by going to a cross reference kawi parts engine ,you could find the part # and be able to order one as cheap as a reproduction one...

Or just p.m Arai59 he may have one.....

I bought a reproduction MKII seat from PMC through Z1E and the seat strap came with it, but wasn't attached. They should have them, but maybe they don't sell them separately. Anyway, the dished out version includes a separate strap while the production replica has the strap already attached.
