I have a 75 kz 900 drag bike. I'd like to find a plastic or fiberglass tank for it to lose some weight. Any sugestions?

I saw a you tube video where a guy has a kz drag bike on a dyno,he stops for a second and pulls the entire tank and seat and tail off in one piece ,so I assumed there was a small fuelcell.just a thought.

Beaseley makes a tank shell. Older tanks of fiberglass were either 1 qt., gallon or full capacity and monted using stock tank mug mounts. Very hard to find nowadays though. Under the tank shell most racers use a backbone fuel cell. You can make one or D&G Chassis sells them. I think they are about $135. I have a tank shell made out of a stock tank. Just cut the bottom of tank out leaving just the outer shell and the mounts intact. Be sure to cut in a way so that the mounts aren't structurally weak. This way you have a strong tank shell that doesn't flex like a fiberglass shell might (although it depends on how yo mount the glass shell) and it is a lot lighter then a full stocker.
