after market seats was created by Cobb
I have 82 kz 750.
Im interested in getting a flat, Wrench Monkees style, ribbed seat.
Not the kind with the elevated passenger portion.
And it it fits the stock frame.
Is threre such a manufacturer out there?

Bill Mayer is a local custom bike saddle maker here in SoCal. I'll post a link when I get home :)

The 1982 came in both the std and the ltd models. the former (designated KZ750E) had the flat seat with cross ribbed cover. The ltd model (designated KZ750H) had the seat with the rear raised passenger section. You could try using the seat from the KZ750E, but I know that the frames on the two models are differnt, and the seats do not swap perfectly. I think you need to do some custom work.

This is what I do for fun, not for work. It is art, with a little engineering thrown in.

No problem Larry. When the time comes I'm going to have him make the seat for my bike.
