My bikes never see water also. Wiped down after every ride. High pressure washing is too hard on bikes. And don't armorall your tires.

They always say pressure wasking is bad, as water can get into places you don't want. Well I never believe what "they" say. I have my own hot water pressure washer I paid like $2500 bucks for because I hate waiting in lines at the carwash. I use it all the time on my motorcycles. Be careful and don't spray heavy on the delicate stripes or into bearings ect and I've never had a problem.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

My bike never sees water either. I use the glass window cleaner mostly that comes in the aerosol cans. I also use armor all and WD40 for some various things.

Water has gotten me in trouble in the past. It's gotten where it shouldn't be, therefore I do not use water and only use 409 or other similar cleaner to get the grime off and then lay down a coat of wax to make it shine.

havent "washed" the bike yet.
picked up a sample of a product that is a waterless "carwash" to try out on the bike at the Iola show/swap.
not exactly cheap - small 2 oz pump spray bottle was $2.00, but it seems to work pretty well. spritz it on, rub/buff it off.

tried it on my 67 F-250 that has some serious oxidation problems, and it has held up very well to the weather and sun - much better than anything else i have tried on that truck.

chrome and other such stuff on the bike just gets cleaned up with the polish. windshield gets a cleaning with the plastic polish.

Only wash the parts before I put'em back together!

After that it's only wipe downs. Like goose said, no armorall or any of those spray-on no-touch tire cleaners either.

I can't believe it but finally Ron and I agree on something  I have way too many vehicles to spend much time keeping them clean. When I bought a motorhome last year the first thing I did was go to Lowes and buy a small electric pressure washer for like $179.00. This thing is the greatest thing since sliced bread! I use it for all kinds of things. When using it on a bike you just need to use your common sense as to where you point it. I've never had a problem and it makes life real simple. Plus I can save all my quarters to buy beer.
