Hey, look! I used the search function!
I'm thinking about maybe doing an Eddie Lawson inspired replica type paint job for my little KZ250 project.
I've found some cool pics for inspiration and I can use the DupliColor grabber green (close enough for what I want to do).
My question is about the accent stripes. White = easy. But what about the darker stripe? I've seen blue and purple used as the accent stripe. Which is more correct? Is there a DupliColor that's close to the blue? Or is it purple?
Scott...join www.KZ1000R.com and post this same question...you'll find lots of opinions and ideas on that site.

Ive seen many shades of Kawasaki green on diffrent models over the years,so who is to say whats the correct one....beats me,although going with the shade you like the best is always a good option.I am sure you guys are more knowlagable about these things then I....but here is my 2 cents.
Years ago I used to work at a autobody supply company and I often mixed and matched the customers paint.Sometimes the best you could do for a customer was to get the color close, then take it out into the sunlight to see how close you were and then go back and lighten or darken the mix until you got it spot on.
I also had plenty of time to experiment with my own custom color mixes. And I always had a good supply of custom colors for bike projects.
Anyway, about the time I left that job,I think it was Dupont that came out with it....but they had a small handheld electronic device that they would place on your part with the color you wanted matched,it would take a optical sample from three diffrent spots on your painted part. And the machine would come up with a paint recipe that would match your color.Very close as a matter of fact. And often didn't need any extra tinting.
This might be a option for those that want to have a restoration with the paint identical to the stock/showroom color. When they mix the paint up for you, make sure you get a copy of the paint recipe, and keep it safe.
Hope this helps! Tariff

You can't really tell the "exact" color from a computer monitor, that's why I reference 2 colors in the pics.
Chrysler Go Jolly Green on the left, original KX green on the right.
Grabber Green and original KX green.
