Anybody doing cheap powdercoating? was created by KitNYC
Hey y'all:
I have a small luggage rack I'd like to have powdercoated, & I remembered that some people here had powdercoating setups. Anybody feel like doing my rack cheap, or maybe in trade for something?
Thanks,
-Kit

I don't have a powdercoating system, BUT I'll gladly pay to have it done; even pay for shipping both ways, if you'll "donate" two of the girls in your avatar.

Wow! Considering the tone of the responses, I just want to thank everyone for leaving the phrase "Anybody feel like doing my rack" alone!
Wireman, I'm working on the autographed pic, but I probably won't see her 'til the first weekend in May. (When I have to drag my sorry a$$ out of bed in time to be in the Bronx by 7:30 AM.)
Cheers,
-Kit

I can do it. Just send me the measurments so I can make sure it will fit in the oven. I did some parts for Cary last weekend, valve cover and headlight bucket. The valve cover came out great with the ends polished up nice. What color are you wanting to do. Right now I have gloss black, textured black (like the engines on the new blacked out Harleys), aluminum, and clear. I can get just about any color under the sun. Let me know you are think. It would be like $10 plus shipping. If the part is really rough I will blast it first for an extra couple bucks. The surface just has to be clean and smooth. No chrome chips, pitting or rust. The powder will fill in little inperfections like swirl marks and such but the big stuff it will not hide. I will be doing some coating next week for the Triumph, gloss black stiff like license plate bracket, headlight ears, seat hinges and so on. I can do your parts then and have them of to you the next day. Later
