1984 KZ550 Side Covers

I recently purchased a 1984 KZ550 Shaftie and the side covers are missing. Will any other year side covers fit my bike? I am having a difficult time finding 1984 side covers on ebay but other years are plentiful. Any and all help will be appreciated.

I would guess that the side covers from an 83 550-Ltd-Shaft or 550-Spectre might fit. The Spectre is a shaft drive bike. You could try perusing the diagrams at Kawasaki.com to see if they look the same. The cross-reference may not be much help in regards to painted body parts.
