What seat is this on my 77 650?

Out of all the pics i've found on the net of a 1977 kz650 i haven't seen this style seat.

any info?

Does it have the factory pan? It could be a recover. Or it could be a different pan and cover that is aftermarket

All indications are that its OEM. It even has the manual holder underneath.

I will take a few more pictures when I get a chance.

IIRC, that is the King/Queen seat that was offered by Kawi dealerships for various KZ models in the late 70's / early 80's as a "touring package". It came complete with Vetter fairing, matching hard saddlebags and sometimes the matched trunk.

That's an aftermarket seat, hard to say who made it. It is period correct but was not produced by Kawasaki.

That has the same stitch pattern on top that my Suzuki GS had.. Looks like maybe a GS seat but the way the back swoops up look honda-ish:D

I had one exactly like it on a 76 KZ900 that I bought. The seat was available as a kit for the factory seat pan and it came from Warshawski's (J.C. Whitney).

it is on the factory seat pan but looks like a replacement.
Ride is fairly comfortable considering it has 31 year old foam underneath.
