ELR graphics on 750L ?

How close are the tank/tail on the ELR compared to the 750L ?
Reproduction Decals makes a nice set of decals for the ELR and I'd like to order a set for my KZ750L, the tank/tail looks VERY similar but I want to be sure before I drop the cash. Anyone have experience with trying this ?

Hello M357.5 The styles are, in fact, similar. However, as you suspected, there are some differences. On the plus side, the tail pieces are identical in size and shape. The sidecovers do differ and you didn't mention which ELR package you were going for ('82 or '83). If you opt for the '83 scheme, the sidecovers are slightly narrower than ELR sidecovers so the decals might have to be somewhat repositioned. The main difference between your 750 tank and an ELR tank is length. The ELR tank is about 2 inches (or so) longer than the L3 tank. Height is about the same though, so lateral decal position can be about the same. Bottom line is that you'll have to trim length on the tank decal.

Thanks for the info, I was worried I'd have to trim all the decals, I can handle having to trim just the tank decal. I havent decided on the 82 or 83 scheme yet, and after looking through some of the euro model decals I might even consider painting it white instead of green.
