What other size tanks will fit on an 81 kz750h?

I have a 81 kz750h that I have started getting some work done. I just had the carb done and am having the engine gaskets replaced. I took the tank down to the guy that was working on my bike and he said that I should A) Get the tank I have dipped and sealed at a radiator shop or B)Just get a new tank before I hooked it back onto the bike. The inside had a horrible sealing job done on it and is also really rusted out. My question is are there any other tanks that will fit on the bike which might be a little easier and cheaper than actually getting the tank dipped and coated. Also would there be any bigger tank that would fit on the bike other than the 3 gallon. Thanks.

For a direct fit a tank from an 80-83 KZ750-Ltd-4 (H) should work.
An 81-83 KZ650-CSR tank ought to fit too, since they have the same frame as your bike. The petcock bung might be in a different (more forward) position on the 81 model. The bung on the 82/83s is probably in the same location as your bike since they have BS32 carbs.

A tank from a KZ750E Standard-4 will bolt-on BUT the upper triple will bang against it. Those tanks are ~4.2 gallons.

While on the TANK issue.....can someone Paaaaleeeeze tell me what other tanks will fit on my 81 KZ550 LTD ??? As soon as I find another one and get it cleaned and put on, I am going to throw my other one through the window of the
A-HOLES shop that ripped me off for "all" the work on my bike that he didn't do!!!

I have an 81 and put a sportster tank on it. I did have to do alot of work to get it to fit properly but it looks great on there. I am building a bobber though. If that is what your looking for I can send you some pics of the process.

spectra tank is what im riden dont know what year had to fab a cuple mounts. but the rest fit good alitle short
