Paint Template/tracing for sidecover was created by kmberjo
Hello,

My project bike is a streetfightered 1980 KZ1000 LTD. The bodywork is basecoated in white, and I am going to mask off areas using frisket. The 2nd color will be bright red. I want to mask the tail and sidecovers the same as they originally were, but the tank is going to be a variation of Wes Cooley's Yoshimura Suzuki (Google it if you are interested). The tank will be primarily red with a white stripe down either side with the yoshimura logo it it. The end of the stripe will turn down and end in a point like the original bodywork. Here is the question: I have the original tail to trace the panel, and I have to start from scratch on the tank, but does anyone either have a junk 1980 sidecover or is willing to trace the inner panel on their sidecover? It will be much easier than starting from scratch on them, too. Before anyone suggests it, yes, I do know that reproduction decals has sidecover decals for this bike. They are more than the pinstripe-they are the insert color too and will not work. I guess I could buy them for just the tracing, but I did not want to spend that money on something I am not really going to use.

Thanks.

Sorry I can't help but I like the idea. I would just lay it out from scratch.
