What other tanks will fit an 80 KZ1000. was created by boogy699
I just bought a 80 kz1000 with an ltd tank on it but I dont like the way it looks. I tried to put a 78 tank on, at least I think it was, and it was to narrow. Does anyone know what other tanks will fit that are bigger then this ltd tank? Thanks.

79/80 KZ1000 ST tank. same frame as yours.
74 Z1-A stock
76 KZ-900 Totaly stock vice MAC pipe
77 KZ-1000A stock
78 Z1-R 100%MINT 500 original Mi.
78 Z1-R Yoshi 1103 kit stage 1 cams Yoshi pipe. Etc
79 KZ-1300 (1400)

If it's a 1980 KZ1000A, I could be wrong, but doubt anything but a 1979 or 1980 KZ1000A tank will fit properly. I have both the ST and KZ1000A and have never tried a ST tank on the A, but the ST is all around bigger and I would bet highly on it not fitting. If you have a 1980B LTD I think previous 1978-earlier KZ1000 or 900s should all fit.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
