fireball coatings? southern ontario... was created by 9am53
I am going to be ceramic coating my headers in "chrome" this summer, and somebody recommended Fireball Coatings north of Toronto. The price sounds to be the same as what it would cost in town, but if the work at FC is particularly good I could deal with the hassle. Any experience?

I had my Kerker Exhaust sand blasted and high heat powder coated by a shop in Newmarket, name excapes me at the moment, but it wasn't FC.
My pipe was very rusty. Had been for over 15 years.
The sand blasting openned up a few small holes in places.
Nothing big, and I haven't bothered to fix them yet.
Cost me $200.00 to have blasted and coated.
It's been just over 2 years, and the pipe is holding up well.
Here are some recomendations from GTA riders:

My pipe is not in bad shape, just surface rust and pitting. I had it sandblasted last summer and it was solid. I VHT'd it and now the rust is back and it looks like hoop. Fireball coatings (and my local guy) will blast, fill all the pits and give me the "chrome" ceramic coat for $175. I giess the "chrome" ceramic if done properly and the surface is smooth actually looks comparable to polished aluminum...which would complement the LTD engine better than black I think.

The flames would be another $200, and they don't do green...I asked

Had very good experience with HTC in Ruscom, near Windsor. Rick did my 5 piece Murray spider pipe in 2005 for just over $200.00 including shipping.Stripped the old, blasted and pickled( clean inside & out) and ceramic coat.
