SS will gall(stick,seize) if the threads are not lubricated with anti seize, a thin film works best) due to dis-similar metals exposed to heat and moisture.
I use the siver permatex brand in the small squeeze tube along with a cut down acid brush.
Sparkplug threads should also be treated with anti seize to avoid having problems on removal.
