MEK and Muriatic acid are available at Home Depot/Lowes and need to be handeled with care if you like your skin attached to your body. Have to agree with Otto and others, radiator shop is set up to do this kind of thing.

Troy, Nastie looking tank guts, agree with most of the avice so far, Get that crap out of the tank, back down to bare metal then look at whatcha got and your options, good luck regards duke

I usually use "Muratic Acid" (found at hardware store for cleaning brick patios. Dilute it with water. (used about a cup of the stuff, then flush out really well with water.

I've also had good luck with "Red Kote" found on eBay.

Just finished a double tank lining with por 15, followed instructions given by company,and one step more triple clean to varnish ect.,and 24 hours of etching,followed by a full 100 hours of cure time for each coat,thursday nite filled tank and rode for some time,today checked insides of tank, looking good, very happy with outcome. Main thing to remember is take that x-tra step and above all take your time. Duke
