New Paint Job! was created by Sixgun
Just fininshed this paint job last week. Thanks to all who have posted their "how to's" here. They really helped.
I used the duplicolor mirage paints, so that parts rattle can, but we have a paint room here at work so the clear coat was done with a gun.

Yes it is. Had to wait forever and a day for it to come in. They were on back order for about 5 months.
My original pipes had split on the bottom seams and you could hear me coming. Overall I'm pretty happy with them. They're only single walled so the blueing is pretty much unavoidable.
Here's and after pic of the tank

Yeah nice job, man. Having a nice thick clearcoat should give you a warm fuzzy feeling too.

Looks good, and thanks for doing it. I have been thinking of using the mirage paint on my bike also. I did it to a Sporty I had years ago, and I liked it, but now seeing it on your KZ it still looks good.

Thanks for the comments everyone. This was my virginal paint job! The clear coat stays soft for quite some time, but is finally hardening up. I'm afraid to breath on it wrong right now. I'm going to give it another week, then I'll wax it.
Thanks for the info rstnick. I kept posting the same image multiple times from my computer.
