I swapped my 80 LTD over to all std tank & plastic with no problems. I like the MK2 looks better though

Ive got one of the z1R "coffin" style tanks if someone wants/needs it.Inside already cleaned and treated,painted gloss black,has sending unit block off plate installed and a nice cap.No petcock.no dings,rust, dents,scrapes or scratches.Wont fit my J series.PM me if u might want it.otherwise on to Fleabay it goes.bj

that 78 Z1R is the tank i was thinking of....stick a square tail and fab some tri side covers like supercharged had made for his tribute bike and you got a knarly looking bike...i ran that exact type body set in yoshimura red and yosh stickers in the old days and folks were digging it big time....with the mags,drilled disks ,steel lines,stacks, and some black out work it looked the part...78 z1r takes little to no mods to use as a square tank i think...
