Over 20 years ago I made the mistake of epoxying the side cover emblems on my KZ650 to the covers. Now I am going to re-paint the bike and don't know how to get the emblems off. Any ideas. Thanks

Don't know if you are trying to save the emblems or not, but they probably can't be saved. Grind them off slowly with a small grinder or use a DA sander with some 40 or 80 grit paper. Could use a sanding block by hand with some 40 grit also. Good luck.

I have never tried but maybe freezing them would cause the epoxy to become brittle..... I have used epoxy putty on the emblem studs and a razor would get them freed for removal

Did you epoxy the pins inside the cover or epoxy the back of the badges to the cover? If so I would say sometimes if the epoxy didn't bond real well with the plastic (non porus) it can be kinda lifted off carefully. But I think your badges will be history but covers could be saved. You may have to actually sand down through the badges to the cover. A set of ebay covers might be easier?

make it easy on yourself and tape around the emblems and leave them on
