'82 440 LTD- Not finished but rideable
26 Mar 2006 18:58
Hey all:
As promised (for a very long time now) here are some pics of the 440 I ahve been rebuilding for about 5 years now. When it first got back together the engine was nice and shiny unfortunately it has set for long enough that it is all corroded again. Good project for next winter. Right now I just want to get some miles under the tires.

Hey, cool bike and nice work. Nice touch with the rubber fender mudguard. Gonna need a license plate to ride, holmes...
A few questions: Are those driving lights on the case guards? Do you have enough stator power for them and the other lights? How did your neighbor train those eagles to sit there next to his garage all the time?

The rubber was there when I bought the bike, I thought about taking it off but decided to leave it for now.
As far as the lights, yes they are driving lights, 55W. I don't know if the stator has enough power for them or not. I have any problems, I may try to switch to LED lights. Can get them just about as bright and way less power load.
As far as the eagles, the guys with shotguns are out of frame. One move from the eagles and BAM!!! Went through a lot of eagles at first, they finally started learning.
Plate will be coming soon. Still waiting on a Master cylinder courtesy of Shoe48.

Nice! It still looks quite shiny. Enjoy it.
