My hearing loss had something to do with "rockets red glare,bombs bursting in air". :laugh:

I envy people that go South. I wish i were South right now.

I forgot to adjust the handle bars. With them up like they are the straps didn't rub the tank while on the lift. I had to remove the drag bars as i was beating my tank real bad.

Everything South of the Ill. Border is twisties. I live 38 miles South of the Ill. State Line. Roy

Ahhh, I see so you were locked, cocked and ready to rock those gooks in to there early retirement program. Very nice I don't think my bike will be back together in time for spring break...unless I put the 79 smoker in her and put a quart of oil every tankful. Me no thinks that is a good idea.
Man Roy you need to hook up and ride with riverroad and those guys. Lots of fun I tell you. If I lose my job here I may just do some relocating further south. I hope that doesn't happen any time soon. I would like to work at least seven more years so I can get at least half of my pension. 17 for a full pension but I don't have any notions of that being a possibility the way things are run here in Chicago.roy-b-boy-b wrote:

Mark!!!!!!!!!! Lots of things I love about the bike. What grabs me is the plain simple black deep shiny black paint and the wheels and front end. What front end is that and are those like zx wheels or something? Beautiful mix modern and old together. Wow! What is the setup you are running? Man, I am glad I am fixing my bike up like a nut. These bikes are truly special machines.

Just talked to my friend on the other side of the lake where you picked up the engine.

I gave most of the money for the engine to that lady that had four boys so she could buy Christmas. It was probably the first time thay had a real Christmas.

I will try and be in that area in August. I want to take my bike down there and ride it South.
