Old Kawasaki's did not have paint codes. Contact www.paintworkz.com for advice...it can be very pricey but a reputable painter should be able to match with some experimentation.

Most Kawasaki paint back than was not a single color, but a layered process of three colors plus clear. To match it exactly you will have to duplicate this painting process.

Was checking out your site at paintworkz. I noticed that you sell laquer. So If I bought the laquer paint. would I need to paint it myself. I thought bodyshops weren't supposed to spray laquer anymore for epa reasons.

Old-style lacquer paint has been tagged 'non-compliant' by the EPA. Companies like Dupont and PPG will (have) ceased production of these lacquer paints.

In many states painting with lacquer is already illegal and WILL become illegal in all states once the EPA implements the "national ambient air-quality standards" across all 50 states.

It's difficult to know how it would impact someone spraying in their garage, but at the business level you wouldn't want to incur the wrath of the EPA.
